A group of illegal Israeli colonizers invaded, Wednesday, the Palestinian town of Sebastia, northwest of the central West Bank city of Ramallah, and attacked a Palestinian home, before assaulting and wounding several family members.

Mohammad Azem, the Mayor of Sebastia, stated that the colonizers invaded the home of Ahmad Ghazal, before assaulting him and his family.

He added that the colonizers maced the Palestinians with pepper spray, causing burns in the face, in addition to attacking several family members.

He also said that the soldiers closed the gate near Shaveh Shomron illegal colony after dozens of Israeli colonizers gathered in the area and started attacking Palestinian cars, causing damage,

It is worth mentioning that the soldiers have been frequently closing the gate to Palestinian traffic, blocking the main road used by the Palestinians to travel between Nablus and Jenin.

The closures and constant invasions, in addition to constant acts of illegal punishment, have been seriously increasing since December 16, 2021, after an Israeli colonist, identified as Yehuda Dimantman was killed in a shooting attack.

It is worth mentioning that the soldiers frequently invade Sebastia to accompany groups of colonialist settlers into the archaeological area.

During these invasions, the soldiers block all Palestinian traffic, in addition to frequently storming homes, abducting Palestinians, and attacking protesters, in addition to removing the Palestinian flag from the site.

On Wednesday morning, the soldiers abducted five Palestinians near occupied Jerusalem, and Jericho, in the occupied West Bank.

In addition, the soldiers abducted four Palestinians, including a former political prisoner, from the Ramallah and al-Biereh Governorate, in the central West Bank.

In related news, the soldiers abducted two former political prisoners, interrogated and assaulted several young men in Beit Fajjar town, south of Bethlehem, in the occupied West Bank.

On Tuesday night, the soldiers abducted Bilal Atallah Hilal, in his twenties, while standing in front of his home in Qalqilia city, in northern West Bank.

In related news, the soldiers injured several Palestinians during protests that erupted when the army invaded the main road of Burqa town, northwest of the Nablus.
